Hey Jayanagar Foodies… Good news .. U don’t have to brave the traffic and go as far as Koramangala or Indiranagar to savour thupka any more. This Tibetan noodle soup is now available at Mystique Palate, a 6-month old restaurant that we stumbled upon accidentally in your locality.
Located in the alley behind The High Street Mall, this is a nice cosy place with a pretty extensive menu. Run by Mr. Ratan & his wife, this restaurant serves Chinese, Tibetan & Continental dishes (both veg & non-veg) at reasonable prices.
The Paneer Thupka is a must-try. Priced at INR90 – this dish with noodles, chillies, paneer etc etc turned out to be a tasty, value-for-money tummy filler.
We also tried the chef’s special Nam Chim Kai (fried momo’s dipped in their special chilli sauce) & their Mushroom Stroganoff Rice. While both of them were tasty as well, our favorite will be the thupka – a must have when you visit this place.
They also serve some regular fare like noodles, fried rice, fries & steaks along with some regular thirst quenchers. What we liked in the menu was however the combos (which is a boon for corporates during lunch) and a kids menu (yipee for parents).
An interesting thing to note is that this street is fast becoming a vv puram kinda food street in South Bangalore. Well… It was about time Jayanagar had one. A few other restaurants in the same/nearby lanes include Tiwaris, Krazzy Folds, The Blue Wagon Kitchen, Hari Super Sandwich & Fish Land. So do head out here, if you are in the mood to do some food hopping.
