Ibis Styles, Accor’s economy brand, which is known for its comfortable stylish hotels across the globe has launched its latest property in Bangkok today (13 June 19). Called ‘Ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada’, this 266-room property is ideal for value-conscious and style-savvy travelers as it offers both creative design and comfort.
So what did we like the most?? Well, it’s definitely their family suites. This is primarily because of the cute bunker beds they offer, which are perfect for your little ones. Not just that. These rooms are spacious too. They offer 34 sqm of space which is ideal for a typical family of four. And of course, like the rest of the rooms in this property, these too are designed keeping in mind creative elements that specifically highlight subtle touches of Thailand’s basket-weaving patterns and come with amenities such as 43” Smart TV and signature ibis Styles SweetBed.
So, are their family rooms the only reason for you to stay here? Well, no, there are a few more reasons why you should consider this property during your next trip to Bangkok. First, is the location. It is just steps from Huai Khwang subway station, making commuting to other parts of the city a breeze. There is also said to be plenty of shopping and dining attractions nearby. According to the hotel, one can find the famous Ratchada Train Night Market, the 9th Towers Grand Rama 9 office and retail complex, the Street Ratchada shopping mall and the Thailand Cultural Center performing arts and exhibition venue, in its immediate vicinity. So, if any of these are in your checklist, you can just walk them down.
Another USP of this hotel is its design language. Just like the rooms, other parts of the hotel too follow a design theme inspired from the destination itself. The hotel’s press release explains this well. It says, “From the moment they enter the lobby, guests experience an airy and dramatic space influenced by music and theater, with sweeping metal flourishes and stage curtains reinterpreted as a backdrop, depicting modern graphic renditions of Thai cultural shows. The freeform design draws inspiration the modern and funky city life.”
Other features/amenities of the hotel include its restaurant, the Streats Café which offers diners an a la carte lunch and dinner option, the adjacent Streats Bar, where one can enjoy a selection of signature cocktails, a fully equipped fitness center and spa, for those who want to work out /relax and finally three elegant meeting rooms and one grand ballroom for corporate and family events.
To conclude, if you are planning a family trip to Bangkok, do consider this option, for the various reasons mentioned above. And please don’t forget to capture that moment when your kids see the cute bunker bed!!
