This new wellness resort from Movenpick which is surrounded by trees dating back over a century has each of its guestrooms equipped with yoga mats and a dedicated health & fitness TV channel.

With life becoming more and more fast-paced, we are seeing an increasing number of people opting for wellness resorts to take a break instead of an activity-based holiday. And if you are one of those people, we have some good news.

Switzerland-headquartered Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened a new wellness resort – Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort in Bangkok on 25th June. And you must definitely consider this as an option. Why? Well we will give you not one but an entire list of reasons.

First and foremost is for its greenery. It is surrounded by 1.2-acres of lush greenery with trees dating back over a century. This, for us, is definitely the biggest USP. Just imagine the amazing fresh supply of oxygen you will get to breathe every day. Definitely something you will not be able to experience in the city.

Second is its proximity to the BDMS Wellness Clinic, with whom the resort has partnered officially for this project. Situated just adjacent to this hotel, the clinic is the place-to-go, if you are seeking preventive healthcare treatments such as physiotherapy, digestive wellness, dental and fertility treatments.

Third, is the resort’s Tamarind Natural Dining restaurant where one can enjoy a range of organic food options. So if you are the health conscious traveller, this is definitely a big plus.

Fourth are the guestroom amenities. All rooms come equipped with yoga mats and a dedicated health & fitness TV channel. This is a constant reminder of your purpose to visit the resort. Makes sure you don’t get too lazy and instead participate in some wellness activity that is good for your body.

Fifth is the leisure facilities present at the resort. These include an outdoor pool and a fitness centre featuring state-of-the-art workout equipment designed by DAVID Health Solutions. In the pipeline are also a spa and a Thai specialty restaurant. These are expected to open at the end of the year.

Sixth is its location. Being nestled in the heart of Sukhumvit, this resort is just a 10 minute walk to Ploenchit BTS skytrain station. This allows you to explore the vibrant city of Bangkok and indulge in its amazing shopping, which for many is therapy in itself.

The final reason, is that it’s new and more importantly it’s Movenpick, so one could expect the best in hospitality during their stay here.

Phew, now that’s quite a list. So to conclude, if you are in need of a wellness break, this should definitely be one of the options you could consider. So do go & rejuvenate yourself. See you soon!!
